CHEMISTRY COURSEWORK
As a pre-medical student with a minor in Chemistry, chemistry courses were an important part of my curriculum. Listed below are all of the chemistry classes I completed during my college career.
Fall 2019
CH 1010: GENERAL CHEMISTRY (I)
This course serves as an introduction to the elementary concepts of chemistry through classroom and laboratory experience. It emphasizes chemical reactions and the use of symbolic representation, the mole concept and its applications and molecular structure. It includes a laboratory component.
Spring 2020
CH 1020: GENERAL CHEMISTRY (II)
This course is a continuation of CH 1010 that discusses solutions, rates of reactions, chemical equilibrium, electrochemistry, chemistry of selected elements, and an introduction to organic chemistry. It also includes a laboratory component.
Fall 2020
CH 2230 & CH 2270
CH 2230: Organic Chemistry (I)
This is an introductory course in the principles of organic chemistry and the derivation of these principles from a study of the properties, preparations, and interrelationships of the important classes of organic compounds.
CH 2270: Organic Chemistry Laboratory (I)
This laboratory involved the synthesis and properties of typical examples of the classes of organic compounds.
Spring 2021
CH 2240 & CH 2280
CH 2240: Organic Chemistry (II)
This course is a continuation of the content covered in CH 2230.
CH 2280: Organic Chemistry Laboratory (II)
This laboratory is a continuation of the experiments conducted in CH 2270.
Fall 2021
BCHM 3050 & CH 4430
BCHM 3050: Essential Elements of Biochemistry
This course serves as an introduction to structure, synthesis, metabolism and function of biomolecules in living organisms.
CH 4430: Research Problems
This course is based in the organic laboratory and involves original investigation of an assigned problem in a fundamental branch of chemistry. My work was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Whitehead. My participation in research involved assisting PhD candidates in their thesis projects.

Fall 2022
CH 4430: RESEARCH PROBLEMS
This course is based in the organic laboratory and involves original investigation of an assigned problem in a fundamental branch of chemistry. My work was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Whitehead. My participation in research involved assisting PhD candidates in their thesis projects.
Spring 2023
CH 4440: RESEARCH PROBLEMS
The research conducted in this course is a continuation of CH 4430.
